What/Whom do you serve?
Where does it get you?

Joshua 23
I. Israelites & what God has done
II. God & Joshua
III. Joshua & Israelites
IV. Where they end up

I. Realize all God has down for you.
Go provided for the Israelites,
"Be careful how you live and serve God,
if you continue to worship idols, they will trap you."

Joshua 24:14-15
"...choose today whom you will serve..."
Joshua took his stance:
1. lead by example
2. forced to make a decision
"...me and my house will serve the Lord."

Joshua 24:16-17
"Therefore we will also serve the Lord for He is our God."
Were they genuine in their commitment or emotionally in the moment?
Don't just feel like serve God, do it wholeheartedly.

Joshua 24:19
"You are not able to serve the Lord." Joshua said to the people.
"He is a Holy and Jealous God."
"Holy" means He is worthy of praise and deserves reverence.
"Jealous" means He craves our attention and desires us to seek Him every day.

Joshua 24:21-23
Prove it!
"Then pur away foreign gods incline your hearts to the true God."

Sports, classes, relationships are NOT bad, but they do lead to busyiness.
Amidst our busyiness we tend to forget God. He wants our full attention.

He does not desire you to leave these doors, this campus, unchanged.
In Judges, chapter 2, the Israelites are back to their old ways of worshipping idols.
But God is a GRACIOUS GOD, ALWAYS THERE, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES
we've been "too busy" for Him. It's not enough to try to fit Him into our schedules.
Idolatry is when sports, class and relationships come before Him or take His place.

Seek Him always and in everything you do.

Acts 17:28
"For in Him, we LIVE and MOVE and HAVE our being."
See that in Him, in Him, nothing else can take His place.

God is the only thing worth living for.
He helps us live and move and breathe and have our being.
He craves our attention and is the only one worthy to have it.
